Our Mission: Stop the slaughter at Beattie Gulch by promoting alternative solutions that benefit all parties involved.

How will YVR do this?

  • Education

We create digital & written practical resources that educate those who already care about the slaughter at Beattie Gulch, and those who don’t yet feel burdened by the problem. In addition, we will continue to create education around the subject of ethical bison managment as a whole. Together we will expose the truth about the Yellowstone Bison.

  • Encouragment

One of our primary ways of making a change in the lives of Yellowstone bison is through encouraging morally conscious practices in individuals. We will do this through active social media engagement, newsletters, and hosted events.

  • Improvement

We are aware that this problem isn’t a one-sided issue. Our hearts desire is to improve the outcome for all parties involved. We will do this through unbiased journalism, consulting experts, and respecting the Native Americans involved.

The relationship between Bison and Native American communities goes back thousands of years. Bison have been hunted and every part of the animal has been used as tools, clothes, shelter, and food. We support traditional tribal practices, and a safe, ethical hunt on the broader landscape—as we understand the tribes to seek, as well.
